Aevolum Presents: Cornered

Aevolum Cinema Presents is a touring programme of award-winning short films — selected from BAFTA-qualifying festivals and screened on three continents, but hidden gems that most audiences will never have the chance to see anywhere else. Each evening is a curated 60-minute programme built around a single theme, bringing together four films that speak to each other in ways that linger long after the lights come up. These are honest, uncompromising films — made by independent voices, recognised by the world’s most rigorous festivals.
Cornered — four films about people with nowhere to go. A businessman trapped in a glass lift with a stranger who may be a killer. A girl who discovers that the cruellest person in her life is carrying a wound she never expected. A child spending an afternoon with a father she barely knows — and cannot leave. A man racing across the desert with a secret that is already closing in. No clean exits. Just the moment when there is only one direction left.
